Heroic Father Dies from Traumatic Brain Injury

Dallas, Texas — A California man lost his life after heroically pushing his family out of the path of an out-of-control car during a family visit in Texas. Adam Bouvet, 50, had traveled to Dallas on October 25 with his wife, Tracy, and daughter to visit his eldest daughter and young grandson.

After a family lunch, they were walking home when a driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer onto the sidewalk. Bouvet instinctively shielded his family, bearing the impact of the crash and sustaining a severe traumatic brain injury. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery but succumbed to his injuries after several days in intensive care.

In a Facebook post, Tracy Bouvet described her husband as a hero, highlighting his final act of selflessness. She believed he took the impact to protect his family, calling him the love of her life, her best friend, and an exceptional husband.

A GoFundMe page has been established to support the Bouvet family, which has raised over $146,000 so far. The community’s thoughts are with the Bouvet family, and contributions are encouraged to assist them through this difficult time.
