Baby Suffers Brain Injury: Toledo Woman Charged with Child Endangerment

A Toledo woman has been charged with child endangerment following an incident where a child under her care suffered significant physical injuries. The incident took place on April 13 in a residence in west Toledo, while Yvonne Makey was babysitting the child.

According to a recent police report, the baby suffered a brain injury and significant liver damage. The exact cause of these injuries was not specified in the report.

Yvonne Makey has been arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on charges of third-degree felony child endangerment. 

During the hearing on Wednesday morning, she was granted SOR (Supervised Own Recognizance) bond. Makey is scheduled to appear in court again on June 29 for a preliminary trial.
