Euphoria’s Fezco: Remembering Angus Cloud and His Brave Battle with TBI

Angus Cloud, who portrayed Fezco in HBO’s hit series Euphoria, has tragically passed away at the age of 25.

Cloud was much admired for his role as Fez, a drug dealer with a unique demeanor, which many fans likened to the actor’s own personality. Cloud firmly challenged these parallels, insisting that he contributed significantly to crafting Fez’s character and that he wasn’t simply “playing himself.”

Cloud’s distinctive slow speech, attributed to his character’s allure, was actually a consequence of a severe traumatic brain injury he sustained as a teenager. The injury resulted from a frightening accident where he fell into a construction pit and suffered a skull fracture.

The internal bleeding increased the pressure on his brain, leading to his distinctive speech pattern. Despite facing stereotypes, Cloud bravely embraced his situation and continued to work passionately in his craft.

In an interview with Variety, he candidly shared his traumatic experience, stating, “You can believe what you want. It ain’t got nothing to do with me.” He was remembered by journalist Salome Hailu as an actor who possessed dignity and resilience despite his past injuries.

Cloud’s untimely death serves as a poignant reminder of the severe impact of traumatic brain injuries. The Brain Injury Help Center urges anyone suffering from such injuries to seek immediate medical and legal assistance. It is only with the correct intervention that one can hope to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. We extend our deepest sympathies to Cloud’s family, friends, and loved ones.
