Olympic Valley, California — A 26-year-old woman succumbed to a head injury sustained while skiing at Palisades Tahoe over the past weekend, according to resort officials. The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 3:45 p.m. within an area accessible from the KT-22 chairlift.
Responding to the scene, the Palisades Tahoe Ski Patrol provided immediate medical assistance. However, the skier did not survive the injuries. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceased as Ellery Dolan Curtis, a resident of San Francisco.
This tragedy follows a separate incident last month at Kirkwood Mountain Resort, another Tahoe-area location, where 25-year-old Roman Lacayo, from Corona, died in a snowboarding accident.
