Social Media Influencer Suffers Head Injury After Massive Fall

[Phoenix, AZ] Emmie Sperandeo, a popular social media influencer known for her Western lifestyle content on platforms like TikTok, has been hospitalized following a horse-related injury. The 27-year-old influencer, who is recognized as @steadyrein on TikTok, suffered the injury in Arizona last week when the horse she was riding suddenly spun and fell on top of her.

Her father, Marino Sperandeo, explained that as the horse fell sideways, Emmie held on and was whip-lashed, causing her head to hit the ground.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist with Emmie’s medical expenses. She was airlifted to a trauma center on May 15, having endured two skull fractures and bleeding from her ears upon arriving unconscious at the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU). This incident occurred only a month after a previous horse-riding accident in which she was thrown from a bucking horse, as shared by her father.

An update on her GoFundMe page on May 19 revealed that Emmie had stabilized and regained consciousness intermittently. Three days later, her family announced that she was stable enough to be transferred from the ICU to the neurological ward, where she will undergo speech and physical therapy. However, her sister Natalie mentioned in a message on the page that Emmie still struggles to comprehend why she is in the hospital and why people are reaching out to her.

So far, the campaign has raised over $186,000 towards the family’s $250,000 goal to cover rehabilitation fees and animal care expenses. With 1.6 million followers on TikTok, Emmie Sperandeo’s content showcases her ranch work and travels across the United States, most recently documenting her journey from Montana to Arizona.
